14th November 2023

This year’s lighting of the Christmas Tree takes place at 5pm on Sunday 26th November, opposite the Clock Tower.

People of the town will gather to sing carols and then Father Christmas will appear, as if by magic, complete with his grotto…

Santa will then starting giving out presents to the children of the town.

So do come down, for Santa, the Christmas Tree lights, the carols, and the free presents, sausage rolls, mince pies, the bonhomie and the Christmas Spirit of it all.

The event is organised by the town council and Churches Together, ahead of the Christmas Fayre, which is on the following Saturday.

The Christmas tree and the lights are donated by The Limes farm shop up on the corner of Green Lane. In return the council makes a donation to a charity of their choice – this year it will be Farleigh’s Hospice.
