Footpaths & Rights of Way Coordinator are overseen on the Town Council by the Environment Co-ordinator.

The coordinator liaises with local volunteer groups to keep the paths tidy and also liaises with Essex Highways and local landowners to keep the footpaths open – local landowners are paid a retainer by Essex County Council to keep the paths clear.

Essex Highways are responsible for all road, pavement, footpath and street lighting issues in Burnham.
