The Rotary Club of Burnham on Crouch & Dengie Hundred held their first sponsored ramble on 1st July, 2023, raising over £2000 for local charities, with 15 local charities, clubs and organisations from the Dengie Hundred taking part.

They were joined by Burnham Town Mayor, Duncan Rawlinson, his Deputy, Fiona Clegg, local MP, Sir John Whittingdale, Chairman of Maldon District Council, Kevin Lagan, and Essex County Councillor Wendy Stamp, who is also a councillor at MDC.

Starting and finishing at Creeksea Church, the 2-4 mile ramble around the town and along the Crouch gave participants the opportunity to obtain sponsors and to help boost public profile and funds. They also met representatives of other local organisations.

  • Althorne Church Fund
  • Send in the Dengie
  • Burnham RAF Air Cadets
  • 1st Dengie Rangers Group
