Waste collection days are changing

You may be aware that waste collection days are changing with effect from 23 July 2024.

Maldon District Council have worked with our contractor Suez Recycling & Recovery to optimise the new routes to make them more efficient and reliable.  This will also reduce vehicle emissions which will help reduce our carbon footprint.

This week all households will receive a new waste collection calendar and some households will receive a letter informing them that they are due to receive a one-off special collection of refuse on Monday 22 July.  Approximately 4500 will receive a special collection and this is due to the number of days between refuse collections on the old & new schedules.

This week Suez will start to put stickers on wheeled bins that are scheduled for emptying reminding residents of the forthcoming changes.  They will also be placing stickers on bins next week as well.

Maldon District Council IT team have developed a new system so that residents can check their new schedule as well as download a new calendar should they misplace theirs.  Further information on the changes can be found at Waste collection days will be changing from 23 July | Waste collection days will be changing from 23 July | Maldon District Council

You can view your new collection schedule here. Please note that you will need to insert your address in the search function which can be found at the top left hand side.
