Councillor Kevin Lagan was appointed as Chairman of Maldon District Council for a second year at the Statutory Annual Council meeting held on 16 May.
Councillor Richard Siddall, who has also been re-appointed as Leader of Maldon District Council, said. “I am delighted to have been re-elected as Leader of Maldon District Council for this municipal year.
“The Council was recently ranked as 4th highest performing in the UK, demonstrating that the way we work with the other group leaders to create an informal but inclusive approach to meet the needs of the district, clearly works.“I am keen to continue to promote the good work of the Council and the services we provide to residents and businesses.
“I look forward to working with all of my fellow Councillors no matter what their political views, for the benefit of the whole community and to ensure that we maximise opportunities for the whole of the Maldon District.”
