Maldon District Council Launches New ‘Where Quality of Life Matters Fund’ to Empower Local Communities
Maldon District Council is proud to announce the launch of a new community grants funding scheme, the ‘Where Quality of Life Matters Fund’, opening on 1 September 2025 and running until 30 November 2025.
This exciting new fund is designed to support Town and Parish Councils, registered voluntary, community, or charitable organisations, and registered social enterprises operating within the Maldon District. The scheme aims to empower local groups to deliver projects that enhance the wellbeing and quality of life for residents across the District.
To help eligible organisations learn more about the fund and how to apply, an in-person information event will be held on 27 August 2025 at the Maldon and Tiptree Football Club’s Drewitt-Barlow Stadium, CM9 5JQ. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions, explore project ideas, and receive guidance on the application process.
Cllr Richard Siddall, Leader of Maldon District Council, said: “We’re putting our communities at the heart of this fund. The ‘Where Quality of Life Matters Fund’ is about giving local people and organisations the tools and support they need to make a real difference. Whether it’s a small community event or a larger project with lasting impact, we want to hear your ideas and help bring them to life.”
