Maldon District Council Introduces Outdoor Gym Trial at Promenade Park This July
Maldon District Council is pleased to announce the launch of a free outdoor gym trial at Promenade Park, running from Wednesday 9th July to Monday 21st July 2025. The gym, which will be conveniently located near the sea wall by the Marine Lake, offers a fantastic opportunity for residents and visitors to embrace outdoor fitness in a stunning riverside setting.
The gym installation is provided by Kompan, the company responsible for the state-of-the-art play areas introduced to Promenade Park and Riverside Park in 2024. This trial aims to gauge public interest in a permanent outdoor gym facility, so everyone is encouraged to come along, try out the equipment, and share their feedback.
To help users make the most of the new gym, Kompan representatives will be on hand throughout the trial to demonstrate how to use the equipment safely and effectively. In addition, live demonstrations will be held between 11am and 4pm on Thursday 10th, Tuesday 15th, and Thursday 17th July, providing expert guidance and tips on making the most of each exercise station.
