Essex Air Quality Strategy – public consultation launched
Essex County Council is managing the consultation on behalf of the Essex Air Quality Consortium.
It is an important opportunity for residents and businesses to provide feedback which will help us improve and finalise the strategy.
The six-week public consultation is open until Sunday, 2 March 2025.
The best way to find out more about the strategy is by visiting: www.essexair.org.uk/strategy. Alternatively, people can go straight to the online survey at: https://consultations.essex.gov.uk/essex-highways/essex-air-quality-strategy
Printed copies of the draft strategy and consultation survey will shortly be available to collect from select libraries (one library per district) and upon request. A single reference copy of the strategy will also be available to read at all other Essex, Southend and Thurrock libraries.
How can you help?
To help promote the public consultation as widely as possible and encourage as many people as possible to take part, we have developed a communications toolkit (attached) for partners.
We would also appreciate your feedback on the draft Essex Air Quality Strategy through a formal consultation response. This can either be submitted by completing our online survey or by emailing us at: strategy@essexair.org.uk
Enquiries
If you receive enquiries from your constituents about the strategy or the public consultation, we would suggest they are initially signposted to: www.essexair.org.uk/strategy.
For any enquiries that require a more detailed response, please send an email to the Essex Air Quality Strategy inbox (strategy@essexair.org.uk).
Thank you in advance for your support.
Kind regards,
The Essex Air Quality Strategy engagement team
