Burnham Primary School is asking Burnham residents to take part in a public consultation, following the decision of Essex County Council to consider providing funding to expand the school.
Such a move could see pupil numbers increase by more than 200, growing from 420 to 630.
The news and the consultation follows talks between the school and the Local Authority.
With more housing being built in the locality, the demand for school places has risen sharply, with many pupils having to go out of the area for their education.
The public consultation is currently open and will run until 17 June.
OPEN DAY FOR CONSULTATION
The school will be open to staff, parents and carers, and the general public on Wednesday 22 May, 3pm – 6pm, and the consultation will be led by Essex County Council.
