Chief Officer Nichola Payne places the Chains of Office on the shoulders of newly-elected Town Mayor, Cllr Fiona Clegg.
At the Statutory Annual Council meeting last night, Cllr Fiona Clegg was elected mayor, with Cllr Diane Carter as her deputy.
The council warmly congratulates them on their appointment and looks forward to the year ahead.
The meeting went on to appoint members to the new committees, the details of which will be posted on this website over the coming days.
